In reply to Babu V’s post on November 21, I am having the same issue now, and all of the above recommendations did not fix the issue. I as well am having much the same problem. I have even tried restoring my PC to a precious date. I tried going the bios to restore my computer by starting my disk drive first and found that instead of opening bios esc opened something calls docc. My main loading screen when the computer is first turned on now says that F12 opens bios, but when I try that it again takes me to docc with the option of pressing F12 for bios again, when I do this it requires a password which has never occurred beforehand.
These ways are all of the known fixes to Audio. The option to refresh audio through “manage devices” says that the Audio button is a duplicate. These problems are reoccurring for friends as well as family using windows 8. Is there any way to repair this?
