Task manager is showing no one app using a lot of the disk, and I’ve disabled apps on startup etc, reset my computer, removed unused apps, used CCleaner and checked disk. I disabled Windows search per the instructions of a Microsoft support person who I contacted but none of these had any effect.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? I’ve tried a bunch of suggestions from other community threads but nonehave helped. In general, high disk usage a short while after startup is normal as all the necessary system processes load but this should finish relatively quickly.

Can you post another screenshot please? From what I can gather from your screenshot, it seems like the Windows Search processes are utilizing your disk comparatively high.
I suspect the issue lies within your Windows Search process. Are you sure Windows Search and indexing is properly disabled? Also, screenshot of high disk usage immediately after startup won’t be useful in this case. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.
