Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. I can’t efficiently add a task to create a weekly meeting with agenda and minutes subtasks repeating for 5 years. For example, Weekly 1 is divided into Agenda 1 and Minutes 1. The agenda dates must be tracked. The minutes dates must be tracked. Create a summary task under each heading, each with 1 year of Weeklys. Move the summary task line to the bottom of the list of weeklys.

Delete the summary task line. Manually insert the subtasks to the first weekly. Copy the subtasks. Drag-paste the subtasks to each weekly task. Add your dates. Indented list of 50 Weeklys. Indented list of subtasks for each weekly. Dates for 5 years of meetings. It’s still tedious, but better than typing it all. If anyone has a way to make the dates calculate, please let me know.

To use Project’s recurring task feature you will have to separately set up the main tasks i. Task A 1, A 2, etc.

First set up the main tasks with a weekly recurring pattern and duration of 5d for as many occurrences as necessary to span the whole project, assuming the default 5d workweek. Then under each of those, insert a pair of recurring tasks with a weekly recurring pattern for 2 occurrences. You will then need to outdent, delete redundant main tasks and indent the subtasks. The whole thing is a rather laborious process and it might be just as easy to manually set up the task and subtasks and then do a copy and paste multiple times.
