When you copy and paste a link, it’s important to copy and paste the actual link along with the text. But if I remember to include the link:.

Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Hi, I also encountered same experience on Zoom Desktop. Not sure if it is because of Zoom increased security or? Hope to find a solution, as it can cause quite abit of inconvenience, since Zoom Chat doesnt allow for copy and paste too. I also cant find much other info on the web I bumped into the same issue today. I was a co-host and provided a link in the Zoom chat. The link ended up only being regular text, not hot.

So individuals had to copy and paste the text to go to the link. After the meeting I continued to play with the link in the meeting chat box to see if I can get it to work. When I copy and paste a link to Zoom chat, it is not active. A similar thing occurs when I copy and paste a link in email. This started happening I think after an automatic computer update. Before that, I was able to insert a live link. When I attempt the same thing on my home computer, the links work just fine. When I have my work computer at home, it still does not allow a live link.

Any help would be appreciated. I know it seems a small thing, but my young-ish students on all sorts of different devices at home don’t all know how to cut and paste and Zoom is tricky for them. A live link just simplifies things. This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.

Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. Hi Kathy. If you will work with me I will be here to help until the issue is resolved. Zoom should work similarly. In reply to A. User’s post on April 13, Thanks for your help. I am clicking the actual link, or getting a sharable link from google drive.

And I’m doing no different that what I’ve always done that worked in the past. Thanks very much for your help. So it seems to be working again in email through nothing I’ve done. Still not working in Zoom, and there doesn’t seem to be much of a toolbar in the chat. I tried pasting the link into a google doc, making a hyperlink, and then putting it in the chat, but it still loses the hotlink. It might be intentional.

Did they ever work correctly? What changed? I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted. If you will wait to choose if I resolved your problem, I will keep working with you until it’s resolved. The pages appear to be providing accurate, safe information. I too wondered if it was a Zoom setting that changed with all their heightened security until I saw that it worked just fine on my home computer. I’ve also searched for other people having the problem with Zoom and found nothing, and went through all the Zoom settings I could, even though that didn’t seem to be the issue because I log on with the same account on different computers. And the previous week it worked fine from my school computer. I’ll try the system restore that you suggest – that seems to be where the problem originated.

Keep me posted on your progress as I will be here to help until the case is resolved. In reply to KathyHayevsky’s post on April 13, I have had the exact same problem. One week in a meeting I shared a link and it was live, the next week not live. I use a mac. So after reading through your thread I am inclined to think its something zoom changed.

I would love to know if you find a fix as I too cant find much info. In reply to SKB’s post on May 2, Thank you. CCRyan 2. This site in other languages x.

How do i make my zoom link a hyperlink – none:.Please wait while your request is being verified…

You should leverage this ability, and transform your Meeting interface into something that people really want. You should stay ahead of your competitors, or else another company will do all this first and steal your entire market, as has happened to others.

This endpoint appears to retrieve meeting information only for those who are authorized as creators of the meeting. The documentation is confusing. An authorized user or the creator of the meeting would need to generate these urls. I hope you also realize that what you are suggesting would be a huge security vulnerability, if an unauthorized user could get meeting links with passwords,. Equivalent information means equivalent security, nothing more, nothing less.

Screen Shot at Dear Tommy, I have explained patiently, several times, that I want a solution where we do not necessarily own the Meeting ID.

Zoom has lots of quirky limitations without misinformation being thrown into these answers. If my request absolutely cannot be done, please have the courtesy of saying so.

Help me understand your use case for generating these urls? How are you getting the meeting passwords and not the encoded password in the join url? Another part of the use case is that the Zoom dialog box for entering a meeting remembers the last few meeting IDs but, strangely, not their passwords. So, when a meeting has a password, you have to enter the password manually. For now, we would prefer the techniques we use to encode these passwords stay internal. Very sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.

I hear you. Initially I thought the password from the URL might be a simple hash value, but it seems to have been salted somehow. I encountered this issue when preparing appointments for my children as they have just received meeting ID and password, but no link. It would make life easier for them if I just gave them the corresponding URL.

The only way I have found is to join the meeting and copy the invite link. On Android app you even have an option in settings to automatically copy the invite link when you join a meeting. If the host has allowed others to start the meeting before them you could get the URL ahead of time by joining in anytime.

API and Webhooks. Error No error. Any access method okay. Any endpoints okay,. With your latest change we are also hitting the same issue here. Please let us know if you have any ways around this issue. Thanks a bunch for your help! Are you trying to embed the Zoom Web Client? I cannot guarantee it will work since it was not designed to be embedded in an iFrame.

I have ran into this problem too and checked the headers sent from the zoom server. When the browser requests this http-url, the zoom server redirects again to https. For a normal user in a browser window, this is not a problem. Inside an iframe you get the Mixed Content Error. The error could be fixed by zoom by changing the first redirect to https. I haved fixed this problem on our side with a server2server check on the url, following the redirects to the final url.

After that I pass this final url into the users iframe and it works. Hi Tommy… i keep seeing you suggest to avoid using and iframe and start using the SDK, but SDK was my fist implementation and had terrible bad quality making it impossible to use… so in another topic i saw they suggested using an iframe instead. Smartphone please complete the following information : Browser: Tested on chrome and safari Additional context It suddenly happened today, previously it works fine.

HTTPS mixed content error and a blank page. Urgent for me too. This bug or change? Works only in Firefox. Please fix it asap. Thankyou for pointing this out. Now atleast It works with this change. Thanks, Tommy.

How to shorten your long Hyperlinks – CAPE Knowledge Base.

Our blog post Creating accessible links in PDFs describes several of these techniques in detail. This post looks at one further aspect of accessible PDF links that document authors should pay attention to, namely link zoom settings.

In short, except in a few very rare cases, all internal links in PDFs should have their zoom attributes set to Inherit. Unfortunately, this is not the default for links created in Acrobat.

Acrobat typically generates links with their zoom attributes set to Fit Page , Fit Width or Custom , depending on the page zoom setting at the time the link is created. This is obviously not a very user-friendly thing to do generally, and can be a significant inconvenience for people who need higher levels of page magnification.

However, this does not mean that there is no problem. It should be noted that some links cannot be edited in this way. These include InDesign auto-generated tables of content and bookmarks. These should always be manually generated in InDesign, using Hyperlink Destinations.
